HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Wack Cat were formed at a beatnik party in Leeds, England by STELLA CORONA
(Voc/Kbd), KATE GALACTIC (Guitar), SIMONE HORMONE (Bass) and original drum genius KATY
ANGEL REBEL. The band was a hit!
Have no money for recording or playing out of town, let alone a
record (drummer Katy was still only 14), the band managed to get recorded for free at a
local garage studio and distributed the resulting tape for free via fanzines. The
tape was copied and copied and soon Wack Cat were taking up more zine space than just
about anybody!
A tape eventually made its way to Japan and was such a hit they
were immediately offered space on a US/Japan single.
This found its way to PAROXYSM HQ where the band were taken on
board and invited to record an album for the label.
"Hang the
expense!" said label supremo Jason Barnett, "This is gonna be thee
hottest party album of the year!".
TECNICAL INFORMATION
The band entered the studio (by now with new drummer SHAUN
CATASTIC, who had, incidentally, been the host at the partywhere the band had formed.
Katy had left the band months earlier to join a Ska band) and recorded the album in
1.5 days after returning from a tour of Spain.
The LP was mixed under the supervision of legendary underground
producer Richard Formby.

We're taking it easy. LP's are serious things. Y'know Rome wasn't built
in a day.

majesty of ancient Rome. And Wack Cat're the essence of depravity. And
decandence, you should see our rehersals! If YOU could eat and drink that
much in 3 hours you don't pay a penny.
